Baking at Home
Baking is always a fun activity and you can make it as complicated or as simple as you like. For older children you can menu plan and they can help you prepare dinner, for toddlers even just icing pre-made biscuits or cakes can be fun. A Local Treasure Hunt
Put together a list of things that your child has to look out for and go on a walk locally so they can tick them off the list. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant – a lamp post, a butterfly, a yellow flower, a red car – anything that they are likely to see if they pay attention and look hard enough. Get a prize ready to reward them when they have ticked them all off the list.
Picnic at the Park
Toddlers are generally easy to entertain so pack up a simple packed lunch, prepare some drinks, grab and blanket and head off to your local park fo the afternoon – you get to spend some time together, you can relax and they can burn off some energy – everyone’s a winner!
