How To Pack for an Alaskan Cruise – Knowing what to pack for any holiday can be tricky, but figuring out what to pack for an Alaskan cruise can be really hard work. However, don’t let that put you off – cruising Alaska is an amazing experience and actually, with some sensible packing decisions, it doesn’t need to be too stressful at all.

Clothing
The clothes that you take will depend on what your plans are – or how spontaneous you intend to be. There will be varying temperatures and if you venture to the Alaska shore then you might want to pack for that too. It’s a good idea to consider what you might do – so that you can take any activewear with you that you might need for example. In general, though, clothes that you can layer up are a good idea – so take a mix of both long and short-sleeved tops with you.
A couple of vests, so you can add an extra layer if it gets really cold, is a good idea too! Accessories like scarves and gloves take up such little room in your case but you’ll be thankful to have them if you need them on a cold day while on your holiday. Make sure that you take some waterproof stuff with you too – shoes and jackets are a must!
Extras
As well as clothing, if you have decided to book an Alaskan cruise then you might want to think about what else to take with you in order to enjoy your holiday. A camera for snapping memories is a must and many people choose to take some binoculars with them too, so they can take in all the new sights this part of the world is going to introduce them to. A waterproof bag is a good idea, especially if you’re planning on getting adventurerious and joining in any sporting activities while you’re away.
Important Stuff
As well as your normal toiletries and preference beauty products you’ll want to make sure you have sun cream and sunglasses, insect repellent and of course, things like phone and camera charges too!
If you have any tips for what to pack on an Alaskan cruise we’d love to hear them!
