3 Things You Can Do To Get Out of The House This January

January 5, 2022

Things you can do to get out of the house this January. If you feel as though January feels like the longest month ever, it’s dark and it’s miserable then you’re far from alone. Personally, we’re not fans of winter but at least when it’s the end of the year we have things like Halloween and Christmas to look forward to. If you’re feeling as though January is too cold and far too long here are some things you can do to get out of the house this January and hopefully lift your mood a little.

Staying at home can be monotonous and stagnant, so here are some ideas to get you out of the house! If you’re looking for outdoor activities, take a hike or a bike ride at a nearby park, go for a swim at the beach, or explore a nearby nature trail. If you’re looking for something indoors, take a cooking or baking class, join a book club, or go to the museum for some culture. If you want to go out with friends, consider a movie night, bowling, a game night, or a shopping trip.

Whatever you choose, be sure to practice social distancing and wear a mask when you’re out and about. And if all else fails, take your laptop and head to a nearby cafe or co-working space. There’s always something new and exciting to explore, so don’t let the lack of motivation or inspiration keep you from getting out of the house!

Get Out of The House This January – Get Yourself Outside

Although it can be tempting to hibernate and stay inside in the warm, this often leads you to feel worse about the whole situation. As hard as it seems, getting yourself out of the house and into the fresh air will massively improve your mood, even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time. So, try to go for a walk around the block on your lunch break or meet up with friends for a countryside stomp at the weekend. Getting out and about in natural light is a great way to feel good.

Get Out of The House This January – Step out of Your Comfort Zone

If there is ever a time to try something new then New Year is the perfect excuse. Challenge yourself to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new this January. This could be taking up a new hobby such as jogging, looking at volunteering options and your local stables or even just joining a community group that lets you meet new people. Try to pick something that is going to encourage you not only out of the house but also outdoors and you’ll soon be enjoying January more than you have before.

Comfort food is a great way to feel good at the time of year. The internet is full of recipes and cooking ideas, so looking up new ideas and trying new things is easy. Not only does this give you something to do, but you can encourage yourself out of the house by packing it up in Tupperware and taking it around to enjoy with a friend, so a real win-win situation.
