When it comes to fashion, it can take some to figure out which pieces you will have for a long time and perhaps want to invest in, versus keeping just for a short time. The cost may be more upfront, but in the long-run you can have a higher quality piece that will last you longer and actually be less expensive than having to replace less expensive items over and over.
There are certain luxury items that are true investments as they do not decrease in value over time (like most items do).

Luxury watches are often one of the first pieces that come to mind for people considering a luxury buy. They are sleek and can elevate every outfit, and they can be passed down from generation to generation as a ‘rite of passage’, particularly into a next stage of life. Some brands can be quite costly: for example, the prices of Rolex watches are very high upfront, but when looked at as an item that lasts for 100+ years to come, it makes the item even more sought after.
