Whatever type or size of garden you have, now is the time to start considering how you can get the most out of it this summer. Now that we’re finally into March, Spring is around the corner and we can start to look forward to longer days and warmer weather, which is the perfect time of year to enjoy the garden. So, here are some tips on things to do in the garden.
Somewhere for The Children To Play
If you have children and the space then creating a space that they can play, explore and enjoy themselves is a must. The good news is that places like Wickey have a range of natural wood garden toys that your children will love. Bright and colourful they have everything from a toddler climbing frame to slides for older children and plenty of other outdoor play equipment to choose from too; so finding something that suit the space you have shouldn’t be too much hassle.

Create a Flower Bed
Creating something beautiful and colourful means that you have something special to look at throughout the summer months. One of the best things about creating a flower bed in your garden is that you can utilise whatever space you have, without too much hassle. Only a small balcony? Use a flower box to create something small but wonderful. A bit more space? Choose flowers that take up lots of room – the possibilities are endless.
Design a Herb Garden
If you’re feeling green-fingered then designing your own herb garden or even a vegetable patch can be a really nice touch. Much like flowers and other plants there are plenty of different herbs and vegetables that you can choose to grow from home, so finding something that suits you and the outdoor space you have available shouldn’t be too much hassle.
An Area for Socialising
If you have the space then somewhere that you can sit and enjoy the garden is a wonderful touch, especially if you create a space to enjoy with friends and family. You’ll be surprised at how much difference can be made with some decking or paving, some garden furniture, a hammock with stand and simple decorations like fairy lights; it really does make a big difference.
There are no rules for creating the perfect garden, but if you start considering what a perfect garden looks like for you – you have plenty of time to make it happen before the summer comes.
