If you have kids you’ll know they constantly ask for snacks and it can be hard to keep up with the demand. We all want our kids to eat healthy and balanced but it can be hard to do this when your kids want a lot of snacks as the most convenient ones usually aren’t the best.
Whether it’s a snack for between meals, as part of their school pack up or for an after-school treat here are some kid-friendly snacks you might find useful.
Healthy Snacks
Most kids love yoghurts and there are lots of different varieties and flavours to choose from. These are full of calcium and protein so a great healthy choice just makes sure you check the sugar content. If your kid likes it then natural yoghurt with a drizzle of honey or fruit can make a healthier alternative to another yoghurt that is usually aimed at kids.

Fun Snacks
Popcorn is also a great snack choice if your child is aged 5 and over. It’s cheap and easy to quickly make plus doesn’t always have to go be sweet and full of sugar as you can also make some delicious savoury popcorn.
Getting in Protein
Cheese is another quick snack and is full of calcium to help those growing bones. Whether it’s a stick of cheese or a side of cheese for dipping crackers in it’s a quick easy snack your kids will enjoy.
If your kid struggles eating fruit and vegetables you could try making your smoothies. It’s a great way to hide extra veggies and also a good way for your child to experiment if you get them involved in making their smoothies. There are many different combinations you can use meaning you can make lots of different ones for your child to try.
If you have any ideas for kid-friendly snacks then we’d love to hear them.
