Having a fussy kid can make meal times extremely stressful and it’s really hard to find new ideas to encourage them to eat. We all want to make sure our kids eat well-balanced diets getting there 5 a day and other nutrients that are needed to help them grow. When you have a fussy kid it can be extremely hard to ensure they are getting everything they need. Here are 3 dinner ideas for fussy kids. You can also adapt all of these and change any ingredients if you know your fussy kid doesn’t like them.
Hidden Veg Sauce
Most kids love a tomato sauce, especially the ketchup variety and they will usually have it with everything and anything. This hidden veg sauce is amazing as you can add as many vegetables as you want and your fussy kid will be none the wiser. This is great paired with rice, pasta or chicken or anything else you know your fussy kid will eat. There are many different recipes available online to show you how to make this and you can adapt it to add any vegetable you have at home. The only special equipment you need for this is a food blender.

Homemade Pizza
This is another great way to get your fussy kid to eat especially if you get them involved in the process of making it. If you get them to help make it, it makes it more fun and they are more likely to then eat what they have created. You can also use the hidden veg sauce from above to get those extra veggies in without them even realising.
Cakes with Hidden Veg
Who would have thought that cakes and veg go together? But surprisingly they do and the internet is full of many different recipes where you can bake a cake and get those vegetables in as well. There aren’t many fussy kids out there who don’t enjoy cake. It is also another great way you can get them to help you to make these cakes which once again helps them be around food, learning how to make different things which is a great way to get fussy kids interested in what they are going to eat and encourage them to try new things.
