How To Spend Your Long Weekend

It might only be a couple of weeks since the last bank holiday, but we’re pretty much in May which means that we get another one! If you’re wondering how to spend your long weekend, here are some ideas that won’t break the bank.

A Picnic at Home

At first glance, a picnic at home might not feel like the most exciting idea, but it really can be fun. Whether you want to do a day with friends, a romantic date or an afternoon with the kids there are ways to make it fun. Children love an adventure so build a den and eat a picnic inside, with your friends you can have a movie night and all of your favourite snacks. It’s a great way to spend time with loved ones and you can even do it if the bank holiday weather is disappointing!

Be Local Tourists

Why not do some exploring of your local area? Most of us are guilty of travelling to different areas in order to visit museums, parks and tourist attractions but there are probably plenty of options close to home. Why not look at what local events are happening and see what you fancy attending this weekend.

Swap Childcare with Friends

If you have children then a whole weekend of entertainment can be a bit much. Speak to your friends and see if you can swap days so that you have a day with their children too, but that you also both get a day off too, win win!

If you have any ideas on how to spend your long weekend we’d love you to share them!
