3 Tips For Organising a Home Office

Whether you’re working from home full-time, just when you can or it is something that you’re considering then organisation is key if you want the whole thing to work out smoothly. Here are some tips for organising a home office.

Plenty of Desk Space

One of the most important things to invest in is the right desk – you want a desk that has plenty of desktop space, as well as some built-in storage. Lots of desks these days come with drawers, cable organisation and even wireless chargers so finding one that ticks all of the boxes of what you need shouldn’t be too much of a struggle. However, making sure you have plenty of space on top for things like shelves, organisers and paperwork is a must!

Shelving & Storage

You’ll probably want to think about what shelves and storage you want too – and this might vary depending on the type of work you are doing from home. However, thinking about what you want to store around your desk and what else you might want to be stored and on display around the office can help when it comes to making the decision of what is the best storage and shelving options for your needs.

Extra Drawers

Extra drawers are always useful, especially ones that you can lock if you need to. This gives you an opportunity to store away any confidential paperwork that you might need. Drawers also give you the chance to hide away messy paperwork and files in a way that they can still be accessed easily if you need to but they’re on display making your home office look messy and cluttered. You can even just drawer dividers and labels if you want things to stay organised.
