Win tickets to see Hilary Mantel at the Borders Book Festival [closed]
Hilary Mantel has been the talk of the literary establishment this year after her Booker Prize win for Wolf Hall. We have three pairs of tickets to see her talk at this year’s Brewin Dolphin Borders Book Festival, sponsored by Bookhugger, on Friday the 18th of June.
Wolf Hall is an internationally-acclaimed masterpiece – but it did not appear out of nowhere, or overnight. Hilary Mantel has written a string of superb novels, starting in 1985 with Every Day is Mother’s Day, and including Beyond Black and A Place of Greater Safety. All great writers are great readers and Hilary Mantel will be talking about not only her own novels but also the books which have inspired her throughout her life.
Each pair of tickets is worth £26, and each winner will also be able to select as an additional prize one of Hilary Mantel’s books (in case you’ve read Wolf Hall already!). Perhaps the winners will read their books on their way to the Borders Book Festival, held at Melrose in the Scottish Borders, where the event takes place at 8pm on Friday the 18th of June in the Festival Marquee, sponsored by the National Library of Scotland.
To be in with a chance to win, answer the following question correctly:
Question: Having won the Booker Prize for 2009 with Wolf Hall, which other literary award is that book shortlisted for?
