    I enjoyed the book a lot. Have you visited Steinhuder Meer near Hannover? A glacial leftover providing an island fortress; my German friends attributed this to a Count of Schaumberg-Lippe but I’m not so sure. The best food is undoubtedly the bread and cakes, especially the cakes!!
